Pre-Race / Registration
Can I get a refund if I cannot run?
Registration fees are non-refundable and non-deferrable. Options:
- You may transfer to another sub event, or
- You may transfer to a friend
Can I register on race day?
Online registration closes on April 25th. If we have not reached capacity registrations will be accepted during race kit pick up hours. There will be no registrations on race day.
What is a CelePLATE?
CelePLATE is a plate laser engraved with your name and finish time that fits neatly in the recess on the back of your keepsake Mississauga Half medal. You can order your a CelePLATE when you register or visit the STORE on the Race Roster event page to purchase. Your CelePLATE will be mailed to you the week after the race,
Why can’t I find any walking categories?
Walkers are welcome in all events! There is no separate walker registration category and no separate timing category.
Is there a nearby hotel offering a discount for participants?
Hyatt Place Toronto/Mississauga, located at 5787 Hurontario St, is less than 6km from Celebration Square. Mississauga Half participants can book accommodations here before March 31st for a $209 room rate. After the March 31st deadline you can give the hotel a call to see if they will honour the event rate.
I purchased RegShield and would like to initiate a claim
When you purchase a protection policy during the registration process, you will receive an email directly from them with the information on how to file a claim. If you did not see the email, you may follow this link to initiate your claim.
What are the Elite qualifying times?
Half Marathon: Women 1:25/Men 1:15 10K: Women: 39:00/Men: 32:00 5K: Women: 18:30/Men 15:15 To receive an elite athlete entry please send us a copy of your achievement within the last 24 months.
How do I transfer my registration to a friend?
To transfer your entry to new participant complete the following steps:
1. Sign into your Race Roster Account.
2. Click ‘view registration’ for the event and click ‘transfer’.
3. Click ‘Transfer to new participant’.
4. Enter email address of transfer recipient.
5. The individual receiving the transfer will now get an email with further instructions to complete the transfer. A $5 transfer fee will be applied. Payment of the registration fee to the original participant is a peer-to-peer transaction and is not done through Race Roster. Last day for online transfers is April 7th.
How do I change my race distance?
To change your race distance log into your Race Roster dashboard and click on Transfer Registration from the left hand menu. Follow instructions for transferring to your registration. A $5 processing fee will be charged. Last day for online transfers is April 7th.
Race Kit Pick Up
Do participants receive a shirt?
Yes, all participants will receive an ASICS technical shirt when they pick up their kit. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed.
Where do I pick up my race kit?
Race kits can be picked up during the hours listed on our website on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29. There will be no kit pick up at the start line on race day. Mississauga Civic Centre is the location for kit pick up.
Can I pick up more than one race kit?
If you would like to pick up a race kit for a friend, be sure to print off their registration confirmation or ask them to send you a text with that info. We set a maximum of 3 additional race kits when picking up your own kit.
Race Day
May I pick up my race kit on race day?
All participants must pick up their race kit during race kit pick up hours. There will be no race kits available at the start line.
Is there baggage service at the start area?
Yes, there will be a large baggage tent in Celebration Square to hold your bag securely and free of charge. The maximum size of bag is 14"x 18" please. Tear off the baggage tag from your bib and attach it to your bag with a safety pin. Do not leave valuables in your bag as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Where is the start line for all races?
The start and finish line for all races is at Celebration Square - 300 City Centre Dr, Mississauga, ON L5B 3C1
What is the difference between chip time and gun time?
Gun Time: The time from the sound of the starters signal to the time when the runner crosses the finish line. Also known as the Official Time. All award categories use gun time as the official result. Real Time, Chip Time: The time from when the runner crosses the starting mat at the start line, to the time elapsed when the runner crosses the finish mat.
Will there be Pacers for the half marathon distance?
For the Half Marathon distance only we will have pacers following a pace of 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30 and 2:50.
Can I participate with a guide/service animal?

On Course
Are strollers allowed on course? May I participate with my dog?
For everyone's safety and comfort neither strollers or dogs are permitted on the course. We appreciate your cooperation.
What are the popular spectator spots?
The 'Spectator Village' located at the start and finish area in Celebration Square is best spot for viewing and cheering. Runners will pass by twice!
Are there toilets on course?
Yes, there are toilets located at each aid station.
Where will timing mats (splits) be placed on the Half Marathon course?
Yes, located at the turn around points on Mississauga Rd. and at Burnhamthorpe Rd. and Erin Mills Pkwy.
Finish
Who receives a medal?
Everyone who crosses the finish line!
When and where are the awards handed out?
On stage at Celebration Square starting around 10:00am.
Do walkers get a timed result?
There is no separate walking category and there are no awards for walkers, however if those walking the half marathon finish within the time limit of 3.5 hours they will have their time posted in results.
